Badass Client Testimonial

Ivy is a pillar of motivation, excellence, strength, and character. I have known her for over 30 years. Her experience in life and her education with health / nutrition has fostered the perfect platform for her to help others achieve not only their fitness goals, but more importantly their health goals. She is not a pioneer in the nutrition industry. This is not a trend. She is science, she is facts, she is proof.  Ivy has curated years of experience (which include her own struggles with food and trauma) along with her extensive education and knowledge in nutrition. This isn’t someone in spandex and tights that’s had it easy and never dieted and is telling you how many burpees to do a day. This is someone that has fought the battle with health and trauma and well, just life….and won.

I’m sure we can all agree that we, as a society, have developed a skewed, or even negligent, understanding of what healthy means.  Skinny, thin, medications, pills, creams, etc. It’s much simpler than that and you can achieve your exterior goals while also ensuring a long, healthy, and pain free life, with an equally healthy interior. Isn’t that the goal to look and FEEL better.  She told me honestly, you reach your goal weight one of two ways: 1) you can diet and struggle and get there fast, but you will be grumpy, hungry, deprived, tired, drained or 2) you can make a few changes and build healthy habits and reach the same goal sustainably, feeling strong, energetic and healthy….This is the promise Ivy sold. She is delivering!

Here’s my story:
I reached out to Ivy because 16 years ago my mum became very ill, out of nowhere. It debilitated her. She became wheelchair bound too early in life. As her primary caregiver and daughter, I naturally worried about my future health.  I took the information I had about my family medical history, along with what I had gathered about myself from my own doctors appointments, and went to Ivy. I was determined to have a healthier outcome for myself and to make sure I stayed strong and healthy to care for my mum. I wanted to lose weight, yes, but the goal, was to live healthier and feel better.

Ivy asked me to try, having been a weight watchers veteran for many years (and it worked, I lost weight, but I hated it).  Ivy brought me into a world of free eating. Where I can eat with less guilt (we’re working on this trauma), feel full and feel satisfied.

Ivy checks in with me often, but without pressure, to make sure I’m on track. If I have a question about a food she answers promptly, and she not only tells me what choice to make but WHY so next time I’m in in the same position I don’t need to reach out. She is not just here for now, she’s instilling healthy behaviors and habits, along with the knowledge of what to eat so I can do this on my own.

This is fueling your body for weight loss while giving it the nutrition it needs to make it through the day, to clear the cognitive fog, to give you energy to WANT to work out. This has been a complete game changer.  I have been sleeping better, eating less and not feeling hungry, and the energy has been noticeably increased. All while the preexisting external forces of my life continue to inundate me with stress and pressure. Meaning, my stresses in life haven’t changed but with Ivy’s help…it feels lighter, because while all the responsibility and obligation remain, I have changed mentally and physically in how I can handle them. I know at the end of the day, no matter how much pressure is on me, I didn’t destroy myself in the process of helping others. I’m now doing what I can to preserve my mental health and my physical health (one less thing to feel guilty about). I can help my mother more because I am stronger and better than ever.

I was hesitant to add my results to this review because what I’ve learned is that it’s not the scale, it’s the feel. However, I know that’s the only part of this review you’ll read, or at a minimum it’s the part you will read first.

Here’s the TLDR:
Since starting with Ivy the final week of December 2023. I have lost a total of 9.5 lbs and an inch of my hips and thighs.  I am stronger, leaner in all the right places, and more than anything have absolutely not, at any point, felt like I was on a diet. Prior to this journey I was losing hair, it has started to come back and get stronger and healthier, as well. I have had many health issues that have improved greatly over the past six weeks. I also spent 3 days and did over 30 miles on a snowboard this winter and didn’t feel sore and achey the following few days.  These are huge changes. I feel like I’m in my 20s again.

If you’re serious about your health, hit Ivy up. Want less pain in your life? Ivy’s your person. Craving decent sleep? Yep, Ivy again. And if you’re down to figure out why you eat what you eat, Ivy’s got the answers.

But if you’re just here to pop pills and get skinny, do yourself a favor – take a moment, think about what you’re doing to your future self, maybe educate yourself a bit, and then give Ivy a shout. I know we all want results, but what’s the point of being beautiful and thin if your dead and gone.

4.5 out of 5 stars, would hire again. (I’d give her 5 stars for a nutrition for badasses hat, beanie, t-shirt or hoodie, HA)
